Hitting the Arcade
Paired with another flashy track from Camellia, the colorful lights and games of an arcade ended up just feeling right, so we let that guide our direction on this MV. We checked out some singer-focused videos from artists like Kyary Panyu Panyu, and knew we wanted to focus on some fun stages in an arcade style.

Scaling Down, Scoping Up
Shrinking our subject down made for interesting settings, but it also required us to really flesh out the details and designs of the games. Obviously we couldn’t just lift existing designs, so we made our own Ironmouse-themed versions. The outfit was also designed and modeled just for this video.

Moving Just Right
We worked closely with AKA Virtual, who handled the dance choreography and gave us the mocap data. We wanted mocap for a couple other actions as well, so they had us film some examples and sit in during their recording session. The process was smooth and a lot of fun, and everyone was great to work with.

We handled some cleanup on the data but kept the noisy, nuanced realism of the more badass or sexy actions. For the sillier stuff, we ended up doing some manual character animation to stylize it how we wanted, and the balance between them kept the video fun.
